New Years Eve 2008

Well, its almost time to put away all my Hanukah and Christmas decor. Its so festive for such a short period of time and then it just seems like clutter as soon as the holidays end, strange. I love the wreath that hangs in my foyer(my pic is blurry, learning how to use my new camera), it isn't real but it sure looks it, I usually wouldn't use anything fake but this, I thought, was really pretty. I love the pinecones,berries and sheer green ribbon I used on it this year. I also used a pair of Silver Trumpet Candlesticks that my mom gave me years ago. I have a collection of Anallee Dolls too, I have stopped collecting them but they are a fixture every year in my holiday decorating, my family had given them all to me at one time or another. I love their little faces,even the ones that are a little ugly.
Its New Years Eve and I am going out with Eddie, my Hubby, and some close friends to see our great friends Jeff and Rick play in their band at a country club. Always a fun time!! Hope I get a KISS at midnight :)

My First Blog Entry

Well, its quite late, 1am, and I have finally gotten myself somewhat situated in this new adventure. I have been introduced to this "blogging" by my adorable cousin who at this point does not know that I just spent the past two days reading her amazing Blog since its inception. It was so well done that I could barely tear myself away, my family thinks I'm nuts and she probably will as well. Freckledfarm is soooo wonderful !! C you are the most amazing mother, gardener, photographer, baker, homemaker,etc. you should be extremely proud of yourself. I swear if your blog was a novel I would have not been able to put it down. Thanks for allowing me to catch up on all I have missed in your lives! Now after having my 4th and last child 5 years ago I am ready to get my hobbies,crafting, baking and decorating back into full swing, thanks so much, C, for the truly exciting inspiration I needed.
